Thank you, Breastlink! Janell gave such an inspirational speech at the 2nd Annual Spirit of Survivorship Celebration on Sat, Oct 16th. I re-read her story on this website:
http://www.breastlink.com/resources/survivor-janell_g.aspx
and am reminded "... cancer has its own message for each patient that can only be defined by that patient. That said, she profoundly believes that the cancer experience must be shared with other survivors in order to identify the common threads, the common experiences, which in fact bind survivors to each other."

It is my intention to use this site to reach out to anyone with concerns and experiences you wish to share. As I was walking past a table of beautiful women on Saturday I overheard one woman sharing her experience of having just had her third radiation treatment. I asked one question (what was radiation like) and it brought up such great conversation "... I used aloe vera from a natural foods store on my breast... I found waiting to have my husband see my breast til the treatment was over was important in how I helped him see my breasts... (lovingly offered) get over showing your breasts to people..."
Namely what I got from all of this was, "...you can do this, Lois." And my heart felt better just hearing their words.
This is an invitation to share with me on this forum. Love to you all, Lois
