She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Regional Orange County American Cancer Society and serves on the University of California at Irvine Cancer Genetics Research and Prevention Advisory Board.
Dr. Bichlien Nguyen is also the founder, director and principal speaker of the weekly radio talk show for the Vietnamese American Cancer Foundation on Little Saigon Radio 1480 AM in Orange County, and in Houston, Texas; as well as guest speaker on numerous Vietnamese TV and radio talk shows in these areas.
Dr. Nguyen graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from University of California, Irvine. She received her Medical Doctor degree from UC Irvine in 1987, and completed her training in Internal Medicine then Hematology-Oncology in 1993.
She joined Dr. John Link’s breast oncology practice from 1993 to 1996 in Long Beach but had to move to Orange County to serve the rapidly growing Vietnamese population as the only Vietnamese speaking oncologist in the area at that time. Over the next ten years, she has built up a very successful practice and a reputation in Orange County as a general oncologist, but feels that it is time for her to return to her first calling as a breast oncologist. By joining the breast specialists at BreastLink, Dr. Nguyen believes that she will be able to provide the best care to patients with breast cancer or other breast related issues.
Dr. Nguyen is a dedicated breast oncologist. She believes that breast disease and breast cancer issues are increasingly complex medical problems and deserve to be addressed by breast care specialists.
